Normally , with visual evidence of water coming out of the ground it is a more or less straight forward process. Water supply needs to be isolated at a stopcock normally located at the front on the footpath. Once supply is off I will excavate the area to find the water pipe. The bursted section of the pipe would be cut out and replaced with a section of blue MDPE pipe with good quality fittings to be used ensuring water tight connection. Once repair has been carried out I turn the supply back on to pressurise the pipe and leave it for a day making sure the leak has been fully repaired when I come back next day to backfill it. Sections of pipe being repaired are always disinfected with chlorine.
